What is a "Frameable"?

In that I'm a poet I create new words. "Frameable" is my word for an art quilt intended to be framed for display. Each of my Frameables is a unique artifact. I could not replicate the same piece exactly were I even to try. Frameables are small inspirations of color and texture. I can create a Frameable in any color pallette and each contains some "surprise" in terms of the combination of colors for just that piece. I begin with an initial vibrancy and build the piece from there, adding shading, sometimes muting, sometimes blending, selecting each texture and pattern from the thousands in my fabric stash.. Each creation is a one of a kind. When the design is complete, I name the piece, as I am inspired, and then take it to J. Edwards Fine Art in High Point, NC to select its fine framing. Frameables come in a variety of sizes--sometimes the quilted piece is the size of a postcard but I enlarge it via the selection of the matting and frame. Some of the framed quilts are lap size. I can make special orders, as long as you allow my own creativity to flourish in each piece. if you don't see what you like already in my photo gallery, talk with me about that special piece that you're looking for to place on an easel on a table or on a wall. Send me a color swatch that you'd like me to work from. You could have a Frameable on the wall that matches the quilt used as a throw on a sofa or your bed-sized quilt. Matching quilted pillows can also be special ordered, or solid pillows that accent the quilt and Frameable. What can you imagine using a quilt that would make your home unique? Talk to me....
